Chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands on health care discipline that focuses on the neuro-musculo-skeletal system. The main form of treatment chiropractors deliver is called an adjustment - which is a precise directed movement to help relieve pain and discomfort, and restore range of motion. For some an instrument assisted technique can be used such as the Activator method. For soft tissue injuries Graston Technique is a unique, evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively and efficiently address soft tissue lesions and fascial restrictions resulting in improved patient outcomes. After taking a complete history and diagnosing a patient, a chiropractor can develop and carry out a comprehensive treatment/management plan, recommend therapeutic exercise and other non-invasive therapies, and provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counselling.

What is Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
TCM is a system of healing that is over 2000 years old. It uses a sophisticated method of diagnosis that factors in age, sex, genetics, diet, lifestyle, emotions environment, and even the current season to determine the cause of symptoms. We observe the body in a dynamic state, including observations of pulse, tongue, the physical body (skin, hair, nails, strength of limbs, body’s alignment etc.) and vitality. The diagnosis and treatment is unique to the individual. Based on the philosophy of Daoism (or spelled Taoism); which essential is the idea of living in harmony with nature and ourselves and keeping a balance – the yin and yang balance. The purpose of TCM is to treat not only the symptom but the root of the disease, reinforce the correct energy flow or qi, eliminate anything in the body that does not serve it, and regulate homeostasis.
